We prefer to use recycling paths over landfill. Batteries are a recyclable thing, so along with our business partners we use recycling to handle them. Stafford Waste Management will accumulate your spent batteries and take them to a completely licensed recycling centre, where our business partners use sophisticated, state of the art gear and British technology to recycle them.

The BS20 Batterysafe is ideal for offices, schools and small making websites. This service is a one-stop option for the safe storage, transport and recycling of national type batteries like those found in the small mobile appliances e.g. alkaline, ni cad, zinc etc. The container is delivered to site, collected when full (with no time limit) and the contents recycled for an all inclusive price, which includes the consignment note. The BS20 has a 20 Litre capacity and will hold up to 50 Kgs of mixed batteries. It’s not suitable for larger batteries for example lead acid batteries – see BS750 below.

Batterysafe BS750 Service

The BS750 Batterysafe is well suited for websites with big batteries or a greater than average usage of the smaller batteries. The BS750 can hold mixed dry cell batteries or lead acid wet cell batteries, however they mustn’t be combined together. So that both types could be stored until you are prepared for recycling, it could be economical to have two containers. React by filling out our get a citation page. The BS750 Batterysafe has a 600 Litre capacity and will hold up to 750 Kgs of mixed batteries. The BS750 is suitable for bigger batteries from the UPS or Back-Up systems for example lead acid or nicads.

Stafford Waste Management cannot accept lithium cells or button cell type batteries in the above mentioned containers, please contact us for an alternate quote. Where combined (dry and wet cell) batteries have been placed in the BS750 a higher charge will apply to cover added segregation. All lead wires to be eliminated from all batteries. Damaged and leaking batteries to be stored in strong, sealed plastic bags.
